Kiev van Moned was born in the Netherlands on 16th February 2010 and will remain with her breeders Monique and Kayleigh to satisfy the requirements of her Pet Passport before coming to live at Delator early in 2011.

The girls at van Moned look after all of their dogs as part of their social and domestic family so it is better that Kiev lives with them for a few months rather than endure British quarantine.

While living in Holland Kiev can stretch her legs around the show rings, too. She is making us all so very, very proud, we are thrilled to have secured this exceptionally beautiful girl with the typical van Moned character: flat-out enthusiasm!

Kiev’s Sire:    International Champion Cron de El Segadal.

Kiev’s Dam:   Venus van Moned.

When I first set eyes on the stunningly beautiful Venus I declared that I must one day own one of her daughters and that ambition is now being realised.

Introducing:   Kiev van Moned

Soon to be “at Delator”!

Proud handler/breeder Kayleigh Stammis with Kiev and judge having just been awarded Best Tervueren Puppy and Best Puppy in Show (all breeds) at Ijsselshow 2010 at Zwolle in The Netherlands.

Kiev at the Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of Germany’s annual speciality show.

Special thanks for these three photos to Krisztina of the Hungarian BSD kennel  Chemin des Sorciéres

My most recent hop over the North Sea to visit Kiev was in early October when Kiev was 7½ months old and scheduled to compete in her first show.

Cuddling my special girl I travelled from North Holland with Monique and Kayleigh to D-Thale and the annual breed speciality show of  Deutscher Klub für Belgische Schäferhunde, the Belgian Shepherd breed club of Germany.

Kiev behaved impeccably and gave us a gigantic thrill when awarded second place in her class and gained the treasured judge’s grading “Excellent”.

A week later I was back in England when Kiev was off to compete at Ijsselshow, a regional all-breeds show in central Holland. Kayleigh handled Kiev to take the Best Tervueren Puppy award and then went on to win Best Puppy in Show over all breeds! That’s more than 100 puppies!

Oh, what I would give to turn back the clock so that I could be in Zwolle to see Kiev take these well deserved awards!

Kiev van Moned, Monique and Kayleigh, Dank-U wel. I am very proud and you must be, too.
